Least Expensive Quality Hanging flower basket? I would like to buy a quality flowering handing basket, and am wondering if going to a Walmart or Home Depot offers the same quality as a Wagner's or Bachmans?.... this is in the Twin Cities MN ares. Thanks!
What is the name of that stuff that goes into flower baskets? You know the spongy/styrofoam stuff that you put flowers into with water to keep them hydrated, usually in a flower basket? Its green and can go everywhere if not handled right! I don't know how to look for it online and I need to buy some, best bet is probably flower shop. Thanks
Making a flower girl basket? Were making our own ring bearer pillow, card basket, and signature book. We also want to make our own flower girl basket. Were making our own, because we want to be able to personalize it and use our colors (satin white with pink and green ribbon). Anyways, any suggestions on how to make a flower girl basket? Or what should we use as a basket and then decorate it? Thanks!
Do the flower girl and ring bearer keep the basket and pillow? I have two flower girls and one ring bearer in my wedding. I would like to keep the ring pillow, but not necessarily the baskets. However, I was wondering if I was supposed to let the flower girls keep their baskets and the ring bearer keep his pillow?
How to create outdoor flower baskets from silk flowers? HI I would like to create a few flower arrangements from silk flowers for use outside on deck and porch to compliment the real flowers. I have been pretty successful when displaying in vases (although I have to regularly dump out rainwater) but I'd like to create arrangements like flower baskets and plant pots. I'm not sure what to use to anchor the flowers in that will not be ruined or rotted by rainwater but also won't be too heavy to lift. I know that indoor arrangements have some sort of foam or similar material but I wasn't sure if this would work outside. Any suggestions???

Where can I buy a flower girl basket quick? what store(s) can they be found in? I know ebay has them, but I don't have time...the wedding is Saturday! Thanks for all the help everyone! It's not MY wedding, it's my niece's and my daughter is the flower girl. I forwarded her the info.
Flower Girl BASKET!!!? Hi everyone! I have looked and looked but all of the flower girl baskets that I have found (Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Garden Ridge, online etc.) are tiny! My flower girl is 8 years old so I wanted something a little bigger. The ones that I have found are so small that only a few petals can fit into them. I really want the flower girl to have a variety of flower petal colors and to be able to throw enough to be visible. I thought about making one, but I don't want it to look cheap or home made. Any ideas? Pictures would be perfect! Also, if you know of a bigger basket that I can purchase, please let me know! Thanks! :-D The reason I don't want it to look home made is because our wedding is very formal. The petals will be silk, so that won't be a problem... :-p
What flowers are best for hanging baskets and flower boxes? My balcony needs some color, so I've decided to plant some flowers. I want to plant flowers in a hanging basket, and in a couple of flower boxes. I picked up some seeds today (morning glories, nemophila, and petunias), and I'm not sure if any of these are appropriate or not for what I want to do. So.. are these flowers appropriate? What flowers may be more appropriate for what I want to do? And lastly, how do I get started (what do I need to do)?

Flower girl basket? I've been looking at flower girl baskets, and I don't like any that I've seen, and I think they're charging too much for a simple basket that will never be used again. I found a basket i LOVE online that I could paint/decorate/do whatever to it.. http://www.weddingflowersandmore.com/ima... What do you think? What would you do to this basket to make it seem more wedding-ish? My wedding is pretty casual, and I could leave it that color, as it is very pretty.. But any one have any ideas? Also, my colors are sage green, yellow, and pink. Flowers are daisies. Her dress will be white with a sage sash. Well basically it's a three inch deep basket, that has a round handle, it's just a regular basket that I think is very pretty and it's $10. Sorry about the link. http://www.weddingflowersandmore.com/images/supplies/basket-1896.JPG
I'm looking for a black flower girl basket...? My flower girls are going to be wearing all black dresses (it may sound odd, but I wanted their dresses to match the bridesmaids dresses). Does anyone know where I can find a black basket with maybe just a white ribbon or some other sort of accent? Thanks! I'm kind of put-off by the one user who said I'm dressing my flower girls as satanists. That's way over the top. Not that I need to justify my choice to you, but I want to. First of all, I'm Catholic and will be having a Catholic wedding ceremony. Nothing about my wedding is going to be "gothic" a "witches ritual" or "satanism" (Not that I am condemning anyone that chooses to practice those, it just isn't for me) Secondly, their dresses are exactly like the bridesmaids dresses (except they have straps added because they are way too young to wear strapless dresses). It looks very classy. My reception is going to be at one of the most exclusive country clubs. I'm not snobby, but believe me when I say that nothing is going to be out of the "norm" for a wedding. Black is just a nice, formal color (that is flattering on everyone!) Black & White weddings are nothing new. I'm not trying to be different. I'd like to hang flower baskets on my porch? I just took out the windows on an enclosed porch - they were rotted. Stay with me, this is hard to describe! The wood that comes down from the roof that was previously over the windows was repaired and wrapped with aluminum siding material. I want to hang baskets, but I don't want to mess up the new aluminum. What is the best way to go about it?
Are you suppose to bring hanging flower baskets indoors when it rains? I have a couple of hangling plants outside including a strawberry plant. They are hanging from poles with no overhead protection. They do have drainage holes in the bottom of the containers though. Can I leave them outside when it rains or will a heavy rain ruin or drown them even with the drainage holes? Thanks.
Suggestions on how to anchor a 6 ft tall shepherd hook so I can hang a 30 pound flower basket? I purchased 6 foot tall shepherd hooks to use at my alter for my outdoor wedding. My friend gave me several lovely 18 inch, (VERY heavy) hanging baskets, and I would really like to use them, hanging from these hooks. I considered repotting them into large ground containers, but would really love to have them more at eye-level, as they would be on the hooks. As of now, they are much too heavy to hang on the metal shepherd hooks. Is there any way to anchor the hooks to make them sturdier? Without making a hole in the ground larger than 4 to six inches?

Hanging basket of flowers - what kind to buy? My house faces west. I have a largish tree in the parkway and then on another side of my porch I have a tree closer to the house. I love to hang baskets of flowering plants to the front porch but everything I get dies. I have tried geraniums but they don't get enouch sun. I've tried vincas, they died, I've tried the other things that look like vincas - they died too. I've watered everything according to directions. I also like to have something that is somewhat uniform since its in the front of the house. Plus, only one side of the porch gets a lot of late day sun. What do you think? Do you know anything that grows in the sun and/or the shade that flowers and even grows longish? Help - I'm sick of throwing money away. Thanks!
How can I give someone a fruit basket out of state? We just moved to Oklahoma, and my grandma came from outside the country, but she's in California. My parents and me want to send her a fruit basket and flowers, because we can't go to California right now, So how can I buy a fruit basket and flowers, where can I buy them, how do I mail them to her without having the fruit expire, and how much would it cost?
What kind of flower do I have? It is a hanging basket. The flowers are small and bright orange. I believe it starts with a P...they open when the sun is on them and close when in shade. The leaves are thick but small...any ideas? The flowers themselves are the size of a quarter when open. It's more of a vine look than a leaf look.
Can anyone identify this flower/plant? Someone gave me a flower basket and there are a few tall stalks in it but they arent bloomed...at least I dont think so..they have a bunch of finger like leaves that point up the stalk and at the very top there is a fat bud like thing ..its all layered like a little pine cone and there is a little black thing in each little layered piece...I am so sorry about this description but does anyone have a clue!? Also Im curious if they havent bloomed yet how can I keep them alive so they do..I just have them in water now...thanks Ok...I figured it out...its a Leucadendron 'Safari Sunset' ...but these are all green..there are no colored leaves on them...can they still bloom.?.the lady at the flower store said I can dry them..but I dont know anything about that.
My friend's fathers is brain dead but on life support. Is it appropriate to send a sympathy basket/flowers? He (my friends dad) had a heart attack recently and is now clinically brain dead. He is on life support so he is not technically dead, but I still want to show my sympathy and support. Is it inappropriate to send sympathy flowers or basket even if he is not technically deceased yet? Thanks for the great suggestions. I'm only 19, so my budget isn't the highest. $50 at the most. He's a really important friend to me and his dad was the greatest. He has one sister (17) and one brother (14).
Is it unprofessional to send a fruit basket to a potential employer? I'm applying for a job that I really, really want. I'm qualified but it's entry-level so I know there's going to be a lot competition for the position. I entered my resume online as required but I think I need to do more to get it notice. Should I send flowers are a fruit basket to the person I would be reporting to, along with my resume, or is that too corney?
