Flower Basket

What happens if you send flowers to someone and no one is home to get them?

I want to send flowers to my friend for V-day but no one is at her house during the day. Will they just leave them there on the front porch? What do they do? Thanks in advance!

  1. They may leave them with a neighbor, or a sticky note on the door saying they attempted to deliver something. Please call 1-800- & they will re-attempt to deliver it.
  2. Can you send them to her school or place of employment? That would be the best thing.
  3. They may leave them with a neighbor, or you could ask if they make later deliveries.
  4. they will die. so just send fake ones
  5. If you know they won't be home on that day, have them delivered a day or 2 earlier. Also, contact the flower shop to find out what they do is they deliver flowers and the recipient isn't home. I don't think they would leave them on the porch unless you instructed them to.
  6. Depending on the weather in your area, they will either leave them on the front porch (favorable weather), leave a note on the door, or in some cases leave the flowers with a neighbor who is at home. I don't believe the latter is common practice, but if the weather can cause harm to the delivery, they won't leave them out on the porch. If the delivery service you chose has a website, check their FAQs or shoot an e-mail to customer service to see what their delivery practices are.
  7. ...generally, the Florist is smart enough to ask you for their phone number and "they" call them first to make sure that someone is at home to receive the gift... Ask your Florist if they do that...
  8. Leave them in your front door....
  9. I have had flowers delivered to me as a surprise before, and the flower shop always called me first to see if I was home. I wish they wouldn't have, because it would have been more of a surprise if they had just come to the door... but that's my experience with it. You should call the flower shop you want to use and ask them how they handle it.
  10. http://infoinall.strangled.net A very informative website, you can also get much information in website.
  11. In the past, I always preferred to deliver flowers to my wife and others... However, she is an ex-wife now; and since Bush II, I have to spend my extra money on canned beans... Because of my ex-wife, who I delivered flowers to for every holiday and birthday for twenty-five years, V-day just opens up bad memories... But, if you are talking about your parents and they are too far away to personally deliver the flowers with hugs and kisses, the delivery service can assist you in making sure the receiver of your gift receives it.
